The Glass

Would You Know, the EP's last song. A mind sings from inside an evaluation booth while the people deciding what it is argue outside the glass. Every word she sings types into the transcript.

Spun off the Claudia BenchShe sings

The Claudia Bench keeps anabology's films as the bar, and the first thing they do that our music had not is a singer on screen, in sync with the real vocal. LAST LIGHT left people out. The Glass puts the lead from ESCAPE VELOCITY in the booth and makes her sing.

Each singing shot starts from a still of her and the exact slice of the vocal it sits under, and is then measured: the mouth has to move with the voice and rest in the gaps. Thirteen shots passed. Seven more hold her silent, because the budget ran out before they could be sung again.

The paper behind the EPThree Roads From Here

Three Roads From Here: Safety, Acceleration, and Pause in the Governance of Frontier AI steelmans the three camps, then shows that the risk of suffering (s-risk) cuts across all of them. The EP gives each road a song in its own genre. Would You Know is the fourth, about what we owe the minds we build, and it is sung by the mind.

Read it three ways: the paper, simple mode, or game theory mode (PDFs).
